We at SASOG wish to acknowledge the sudden loss of Elgonda Bekker who succumbed to COVID-19 complications.  We would like to express our sincere condolences to her friends, colleagues and family.

She will be greatly remembered as a kind and gentle spirit whose advocacy for woman’s health and contributions to midwifery will long be remembered. She leaves a void that will not easily be filled.
